I inform you about myself. My name is Ch Amjad Ali, and this website is available because of three little stents in my heart.

A heart attack is something that, a few minutes ago, paralysed me in reality. It was, therefore, an eye-opener that shook my roots. However, on the out-of-step regrieving moments, with the monitors in the hospital beeping around, I promised to myself–or, in fact, to anybody who would hear me–that I would.

On my second time in life, I vowed to spend it ensuring that others would not go through the same plight I had experienced.

Hello, I am here to welcome you to Daily Health Dose, a mission founded on personal experience and the wish to empower you with knowledge that I would have liked to be empowered with myself.

My Story: A Second Chance

I have gone through the road you might be afraid to take. I have experienced the fear of the diagnosis, the helplessness of going to the hospital, and the deep appreciation of the existence of the medical technology that enables the extension of our lives, such as the three stents that hold my arteries open now, without which I would have died a long time ago.

It was more than a medical procedure because it was a total change. I lost myself in learning about heart health, nutrition, stress, and habits that can really change our lives. Then I was informed that it is a combination of genetics, but what we choose to do each day is a potent medicine.

As I am not a doctor. But I am an invalid, a scholar, and now an instructor. You do not need to sift through the complicated information; I will do it. I interpret medical terms into everyday simple tasks, as I know it can be very confusing.

This isn’t just a website for me. It’s a fulfilment of a promise that I made on a hospital bed.

Our Mission: Your Daily Dose of Prevention

Nothing in my experience taught me more than that prevention is everything. One cannot have a heart attack instantly, but it is the consequence of the years-long decisions made.

It is the essence of Daily Health Dose. Therefore, we reckon that the best defence against chronic disease is small, regular, everyday steps.

  • Evidence-Based Information: All the advice is screened through the prism of two facts: my personal experience of recovery and the recent evidence-based health guidelines. Therefore, we collaborate and reference credible medical websites to deliver valid information to you.
  • Doable, Not Daunting: We put an emphasis on doses- little tips that one can easily add to his/her day. Then step-by-step, meal-by-meal, deep-breath-by-deep-breath, a healthier life is constructed.
  • A Holistic Perspective: Moving beyond cholesterol to heart health. It is about the food that you take, the exercise that you take, the sleep that you take, and the stress that you take. We cover all aspects of wellness because they are all connected.

This community does not require that you have a heart condition. However, you must have the motivation to feel better, live longer, and take charge of your health.
